Description

Silhouettes of the past give form to the present in this verbatim, devised production of true-life stories. Through extensive interviews, the playwright gathered true accounts told by the mentors and teachers of the cast (ranging in age from their 20s to their 60s) of formative events which occurred in their teenage years. This montage of scenes is sometimes poignant, often funny, delightfully embarrassing, and occasionally frightening. The common threads of the teen experience weave these tales together over the course of the show, bridging the generation gap and proving we have more in common than we think.
