Description
A Scottish/African group presenting original songs from composer/playwright Neo Vilakazi, based in Edinburgh. Blending rich harmonies, performed by supremely talented artists, the vocals and dancing of the choir were described as 'simply stunning' (Scotsman). ***** (MusicalTheatreReview.com). Inspired by historical events around the Shona tribe in Africa and socio-political turmoil of Robert Mugabe's rule of Zimbabwe, the music comes from Neo's multidimensional work, presenting a powerful cross-cultural love story… that transcends racial barriers. This critically acclaimed show was first performed and sold out at the Edinburgh International Festival in 2021 – get your tickets now! Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted.
