"Shall I Compere Thee in a Funny Way" is one of the most fun experiences I've had at the Fringe. It is a show that could easily be seen more than once as the audience's input informs the topics that Philip Simon masterfully navigates for the hour with his funny off-the-cuff anecdotes and hilarious crowd work. It was almost non-stop laughs and the crowd banded together in a way I haven't seen at other shows. As a compere, no one compares to Philip!

For a good time, go see Philip Simon in any show he's hosting. He's instantly likeable and approachable, with puns and quick wit on any topic. Philip pokes fun at his own foibles and the absurdity of our shared human experience. He's my favorite kind of everyman comic. I saw his "Shall I Compere Thee in a Funny Way?" show several times, and it was wildly different each night based on the audience interaction. He even took on a physical gymnastics challenge to hilarious results. Philip Simon is good fun!

Free-form comedy that relies on audience interactions, you're guaranteed a different show every night. Philip is very knowledgeable and quick off the cuff, no ego whatsoever he's able and happy to go with the flow of the audience. We had an absolute riot exploring different themes like difficult families, going on holiday, love, toilet humour, we barely got through half the topics Philip had prepared because we were simply having too good of a time. Could easily have spent 3 hours watching him perform. Will be back!
