Description
Uair den t-saoghal is beag fios a bha aig mòran dhaoine air beul-aithris na Gàidhlig taobh a-muigh na Gàidhealtachd fhèin. Ann an 1859, thòisich Iain Òg Ìle agus a charaidean air na sgeulachdan sin a chruinneachadh leis gun robh beul-aithris a’ crìonadh. Lorg e mòr-ulaidh dha-rìribh. Once upon a time, Scottish Gaelic folktales were almost unknown beyond the Highlands. In 1859, John Francis Campbell and friends began collecting these stories as the oral tradition was dwindling. He found a treasure trove. Discover these stories and more in our first dual-language exhibition. Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted.
