Description
Searching for escape from her mind and body, an anti-heroine finds solace in a seal skin that allows her to remove herself from her responsibilities on land as a young mother. Intertwining Scottish selkie folklore with dark observational humour, Sealed is a one-woman Fringe debut written and performed by Morgan-Drew Glasgow (LIPA MA Acting Graduate 2023). What happens when we shed the skin of our societal pressures, inhibition and sense of morality? Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. Sealed is an emotive journey through mental health and womanhood brought to life by the wonderful Scottish actor Morgan who wrote, directed and indeed stars in the show. If you can get to see this show, definitely one not to miss!

Ethereal, real, emotive, poignant and an unapologetic deep dive into the human experience. Whilst the piece has been eloquently written and directed by Morgan Drew-Glasgow what is evident is her magnitude as a performer. A complete marvel.

I was flyered by the actress in this show and i’m so glad that i was- such an unexpected bonus to my day because wow, what an amazing show. Some of the bravest acting i’ve seen in a long time. Morgan is beyond talented and one of the most engaging and exciting actors i’ve seen in live theatre. She perfectly portrays the excruciating beautiful experience of womanhood/being a mother. A must see show.

Best show I’ve seen at the Fringe by far! Morgan-Drew Glasgow’s talent shows no bounds as she depicts a beautiful and confronting piece on societal pressures of women and motherhood. I am in awe of her craft and can’t wait to see what she will do next.
