Description

London, 18th century. Gossip is rife in the centre of fashionable society. Two brothers – the elder a smooth hypocrite and the younger a reckless but generous spendthrift – are put to the test by their long-lost uncle as to who is the most virtuous… all the while battling with the vicious rumours and salacious scandal brewing around them. Who will be rewarded with happiness and love? Sheridan’s fast-paced comedy of manners, The School for Scandal is a lively ridicule of affection and pretentiousness.

A very charming show with a very talented (and perfectly casted) cast and amazing costumes

This was a well-performed show. If you enjoy this sort of comedy of manners, this is a decent example of it.

A really enjoyable hour was spent in the company of these talented, capable and fun young people delivering a very watchable show. Would highly recommend this. These young actors will go far. Watch them first at the ‘23 Fringe, it’ll be a great story for your grandchildren when you were 2ft away from the next A-lister actor!

The enjoyment of this young cast was clear to see and they delivered a piece which had pace, wit, energy and bite. Well done, and I hope you enjoy the rest of your successful run. Colin

Those who turn their noses up when they read "youth theatre company" should kick themselves if they miss this. YAT continue to dazzle with another strong Fringe show full of energy, comedy and life. Plus, at only 50mins long, it's the perfect length for a restoration comedy in my opinion - not to be missed
