What a rollercoaster of emotions! There were as many moments where I couldn't stop laughing as there were moments where I was moved to tears. Stunning performances all across the board. A definite must-see.

★★☆☆☆ Kindly Skip the Hype

THE GOOD
* Serious Subject. Humanising sex workers and talking about their lived experiences is a necessary discourse.
* Vibrant Arts. Live music, singing, and poetry brought richness to the stage.
* Audience Acclaim. Fully booked with standing ovations – they saw something special.

THE NOT SO GOOD
* Lacking Depth. For such a hefty topic, the script and characters felt underdeveloped.
* Temporal Disconnect. Was curious about the '80s focus – why not bring it to the present-day dialogue?
* High Expectations. For a production with such rave reviews, it felt a bit underwhelming.

A beautiful show that weaves performance, spoken word and songs to create a multifaceted story of the life of sex workers in the 1980s. It touches the core of what it is to be a mother, a wife, a worker, a woman and the expectations and similarities in walks of life you may not think could work with each other. Showing that a sex worker is not just one thing but the reality of women undertaking this career is done with a care which you can feel through the all involved in the company. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll want to do more to help keep sex workers safe. A must see, if you don’t think it will be your cup of tea book a ticket anyway, it really will surprise you.

What a great show, fantastic cast, hard hitting storyline portraying life as a sex worker in 80s Edinburgh.
The individual characters were brought to life by each of the amazing actors who brought humour and emotion to the show.

This is a theatre show for people who don’t think they’re theatre people. It has it all; drama, comedy, spoken word, and superb singing from a very talented ensemble. Highly recommended.
