Painting the Way of the Cross. The 14 huge paintings (completed in 1875) in the Jesuit Church in Edinburgh, which meditate on the passion and death of Jesus Christ, are the largest of their kind in Europe. This hour-long talk and tour with Adrian Porter SJ will explore these remarkable works by Bavarian artist Peter Rauth and the sacred music, text and ritual that accompany them.
