Description
Gilbert Scott’s dramatic architectural landmark, with its three spires prominent in Edinburgh’s distinctive skyline, provides a magnificent setting for the Opening Service of the 2023 Edinburgh Festival of the Sacred Arts in the Fringe. Led by the renowned Cathedral choir, a Sung Eucharist will be celebrated in accordance with the Scottish Liturgy of 1982. Music: Byrd Mass for Five Voices. Preacher: Reverend Canon Marion Chatterley, Vice-Provost. General venue access
- Accessible entry: There is a permanent stone ramp attached to the north door. The main entrance on Palmerston place can be accessed by a wooden ramp that is temporarily placed over the stone steps. This ramp is not suitable for all wheelchair users so it is advised to use the north entrance.
