Caught the very last show and I was blown away. The cast and crew deserve a medal for putting on an outstanding performance.
The performance appeared to be effortless, from the back stage sound, music and direction to the acting itself. All perfectly executed with such energy on stage.
The kids are so full of talent and each and every one of them did incredibly well.
I loved Miss Honey. Such emotion felt in every word.
Acting career awaits the older characters from the Librarian to Matilda's parents and dance coach (made me laugh). Trunchbull had a natural flare for entertainment too!
The kids acrobatics, line deliveries and comedy timing was excellent. I wish I could remember all their names but they were all fabulous.
Finally, Bruce and Matilda... voices of angels. Loved it all.
I do hope to see all of the cast again soon in whatever performance awaits.
I can't get "when I grow up" out of my head. Thank you.

What a knockout show. One for all ages and all our family are still raving about it after seeing it today. Star of the show, without doubt, is The Trunch (Laurie). He kept in character, hilariously hamming (or should I say ‘hammering’) it up and just on the right side of mean and scary. The audience loved it. Equally brilliant was little Matilda and the children’s cast. Special mention to the young acrobats and their confident and sweet portrayal of a sensitive part of the story which I’ve seen miss the mark in other productions and to the excellent young Agatha. We’ve seen a few Captivate productions over the years and it’s great to see the older kids confidently holding it all together whilst letting the little ones shine and more than a few familiar faces who have been with the company some time and who will no doubt be treading the boards professionally before long. 5 stars, without question.

Was lucky enough to see the Saturday show of this sold out run and was absolutely thrilled by the production. Not a note out of place, such a wealth of talent and energy on stage, and the audio production was fantastic; you'd be hard pressed to find much difference between how it sounded compared to listening to the original cast recording! Captivate have pulled off an absolute blinder with this, will definitely check out anything else they do in the future. *****

Caught the show yesterday (Wednesday) and it was amazing!! Incredible talent and a great show by everyone involved. So entertaining and laugh-out-loud funny... the kids loved it!
The choreography and skillset was on a very professionally level.
All the cast were so good but our favourites....
Trunchbull (Lawrie) had us laughing throughout and gave a terrific performance.
Matilda (Olivia) was amazing and has a bright future in acting!
Bruce (Ethan) Bogtrotter was simply fantastic. Loved his cake eating scene, and song singing. (Especially Revolting Children). A bright acting career awaits!
A very professional performance by all involved and no wonder this is a sell out show!
Well done all and thank you!!

We love the Matilda story and so this show had a lot to live up to. Firstly the time and venue were family friendly and easy which is a big plus. Secondly the casting, as with all Captivate shows we have seen, was spot on! Matilda (Anna) has an amazing voice and was so captivating with such a leading role and Bruce (Callum) was fantastic in his part. The children all impress me so much and their voices, dancing, confidence and stage presence blew me away! 5 stars from me!

What a show! Brilliantly cast with such talented and watchable children and young people. Loved the Wormwoods, Bruce and Nigel and Matilda was very confident and convincing. However, Trunchbull absolutely stole the show today with the perfect cocktail of comedy and cringe and commanded every scene they were in. Just brilliant.

A fantastic and flawless performance from all of the cast. This is a very entertaining show which the whole family will enjoy. It is a great credit to the production team that the cast, who are mostly children, can perform with such confidence, quality, and obvious enjoyment. I personally thought the performance by the actor playing Bruce Bogtrotter was excellent, and Ms Honey has a very good voice too.
