Description

Pianist Richard Michael delves into the music of Gershwin, Porter, Bacharach and Brubeck demonstrating his virtuosic piano playing with unique insights into some of the finest songs ever written. Richard has entertained and educated thousands of people through his weekly broadcasts on BBC Radio Scotland's Jazz Nights. His latest book Jazz Piano for Kids (pub Hal Leonard) is a best-seller, demonstrating his skill as an educator and his personal way of teaching improvisation. 'Richard's encyclopedic knowledge of jazz is legendary' (Martin Taylor MBE, guitarist). 'An unparalleled and charismatic educator' (Julian Joseph, jazz pianist).

General venue access

  • Accessible entry: There is a permanent ramp from the street to the door on a very easy gradient and after that everything including the disabled toilet can be accessed via level access.

  • Stairs: 2 - 5

Our access tickets service is available to anyone who:

  • Would like to book specific accessibility services, e.g. a hearing loop, audio description headsets, captioning units, seating in relation to the location of the BSL interpreter
  • Requires extra assistance when at a venue
  • Has specific seating requirements
  • Is a wheelchair user
  • Requires a complimentary personal assistant ticket to attend a performance
