Description
After my last Fringe appearance (August, 2016), I had to step away from Edinburgh and consider how to be less devastatingly funny. Many of the people at that show suffered fainting spells, hallucinations and accelerated heartbeats – the result of being exposed to such a breathtaking work of art. I later learned there's a term for this condition: The Stendahl Syndrome. Thankfully it's not permanent or litigious. All I can say is that on my return (Assembly Rooms, George Square, 13-28 August), I promise to dial it back just a little. Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted.
