‘People who try to hang on to their individuality always come to a bad end!’ Noun: rhinoceros. Plural noun: rhinoceroses. Plural noun: rhinoceros. Full of biting wit and nightmarish anxiety, Ionesco’s classic absurdist drama Rhinoceros is a parable of the individual’s struggle against the dangers of conformism and despite the intervening years, it is one which still resonates. This production from Blackheath High School is fast, funny, physical and terrifying. You have been warned.
