Description

A campy variety show that mimics an overenthusiastic kick-off event for a corporate retreat for the fictional company Men-ses Period Panties. It pokes fun at the boring jargon, toxic positivity and team building nonsense inherent to the business world. Hosted by comedians Rebekka Johnson (Netflix's GLOW) and Anne Gregory (NBC's Parks and Recreation) and produced by UK's own, Kate Nash. Guest acts feature a rotating cast of incredible Fringe performers (sometimes) including the iconic pop-star and actress, Kate Nash. It's a new and fun romp every night!

I enjoyed the concept (and of course the performance by Kate Nash) but it wasn’t really funny or maybe we just got rubbish variety. The trolls didn’t fit into it and the Camilla/princess diana skit went on too long with no real punchline.. the makings of a great show/concept

The absolute most fun variety show I’ve ever seen in my life. Such an amazing concept. So much god damn fun. Pretty sure it’s sold completely out, but if you can manage to snag a ticket, I highly recommend you do!

To Do List (4/5 stars) 40 days ago

A wonderful, feminist, period-positive way to sample some of the best acts at the Fringe.

North West End UK (5/5 stars) 43 days ago

The Retreat is an incredibly fun, upbeat and slightly unhinged comedy variety show, and the corporate period pants theme just gives it that something extra.
