With a David Bowie imitator as ring master, an Australian group play Bowie songs while different musicians perform circus acts. The acts range from juggling to aerial work with drapes suspended from the tent’s ceiling to a clown trying to extricate themselves from a chair. The final act with a performer stacking chairs at odd angles and climbing on top of them was quite amazing.

So far, I have seen 126 shows at the Fringe this year. You may see my other three-sentence reviews, in order from most enjoyable to worst, at my non-commercial website:

This was an amazing hour of entertainment that my wife, 3 kids and I all totally loved. The music of course was impeccable given it was all Bowie’s but the performance by the band amidst a series of logic defying circus performances created a heady cocktail of pure joy.

Well done for creating such an awesome show based on one of the greatest artists ever.

Can’t recommend this show highly enough.

Amazing show! I did not know one can be so talented! I clapped so much that my hands hurt. But they so deserved it. A standing ovation is a least that you can do to thank them for the show!

TBH I didn't have high expectations for this - but it's actually really good.

Amazingly, the band are also the circus performers. The guitarist is an acrobat; the bassist is an aerialist; and so on.

The singer isn't really doing a Bowie impression (a good thing) but he has a great voice and carries all the songs with an astonishing, maybe 4 octave, vocal range.

Interestingly, there were a few kids in the audience and I wondered how they would take it. They looked like mum and dad had dragged them along under sufferance, probably having little idea who David Bowie was. By the end they were on their feet, bouncing up and down, with big smiles.

It's a hugely likeable show. They handle the great man's material with enough heft to do it justice but enough lightness to keep it fresh.

Well done Rebel.

Wow! I expected a Bowie tribute band but got so much more! Excellent Bowie singer/musicians, great costumes & breath-taking circus acts artfully intertwined together. Go see it...

A must see for Bowie fans, or just fans of entertainment! So unexpected, such a talented group. Can I please recommend that you get in touch with Dublin Bowie Festival and bring it to Ireland next year, thank you :)

All the Bowie classics, great vocals, contemporary circus (impressive aerials in particular) and a live 5 piece band- drums, guitars, keys and brass.....the band by the way also perform the physical theatre. Multi talented. Audience loved it...good vibes & a great start to fringe 2022. Better than the teaser video would suggest.
