Description

It’s 1066 as you’ve never seen it before! Following the death of popular King of England Edward the Confessor, Harold Godwinson takes the throne. Learning the news, William “The Conqueror” (Duke of Normandy and renowned DJ at one of France’s top nightclubs) refuses to take advice from his half-brothers to compete for the English crown, despite the fact that Edward had sworn William to be his successor on holy relics. As time passes, however, William realises the damage his care-free lifestyle has caused those around him and becomes determined to change his life.

Battles, Banishings, Backstabbings and Bayeux! A lively potted history (sort of) of the dodgy events around 1066. Loved the on-stage energy of the whole cast - especially the enthusiasm in the dancing. Lots of laughs, a superb show. Well done again NUTS!!

A great show with a fun concept!! I had no idea what to expect going in, but absolutely loved the acting, dance scenes and plot - especially the creation of the bayeux tapestry which was a nice touch.

A really good show. I went twice and had a thoroughly good time both times. It was 50 minutes silly goofy fun. Loved the lights themed to the french flag and the use of Frantic Assembly. The actors really put their all into the show, especially Conrad Klappholz as Edward the Confessor, Ben Stoddart as Benji, and of course the Olivia Hass as Rampant Willy themselves were so good at playing the troubled seshhead. (5 stars)

Super fun show - Newcastle Clubbing Scene meets The Battle of 1066. Lots of laughs, loved the character of Benji especially. Cast are very talented and put on a great performance

A good chuckle of a laugh show. Sprinkles of history, even if it was not necessarily accurate, surrounded by a genuine cast who put on a very funny performance. The true highlight was seeing the cast making the show their own with quippy ad libs, and pushing the script in their own way. We loved speaking to you all after the show, good luck to all.

A fabulous night filled with lots of laughs and comedy. Funniest history lesson I’ve ever had! Would definitely recommend for a fun viewing!
