Quitting Comedy

Theatre (comedy, stand-up)

Venue Age Restriction: Strictly 18+

Description

In this mixed-media comedic play, two young New York City comedians pull back the curtain on the dark side of comedy. Through satirical stand-up and painfully accurate reenactments of moments with egocentric comedians, they grapple with the ever-present question: is it time to quit comedy?

Great show. Really well written & an accurate display of the comedy scene. But more importantly, very funny!

This show was the most enjoyable play I’ve seen so far at the fringe. If you are tired of watching stand up comedy, or love watching stand up comedy, this meta, inside baseball satire of the comedy scene is for you. Such a refreshing show full of great performances and clever writing. It kinda feels like “Girls” meets “Crashing”. Just an all around really great time! Go see it!

Amazing show - one of the funniest I’ve been to yet. Relatable, witty, and dry. Malia and Caroline will make you want to quit comedy, and then just as quickly make you want to come back for more. Cannot recommend enough.

Dishing out sharp satire while keeping the chuckles flowing like a comedy waterfall.
