Description

Dynamic Manchester-based wind quintet Festivo Winds present an evening of French music culminating in a performance of Poulenc’s dazzling sextet for piano and winds. Formed at the RNCM, Festivo were named Audience Favourite at the Christopher Rowland Chamber Ensemble of the Year and have been invited to perform at numerous prestigious festivals and venues. This all-French programme will open with a wickedly fun Scherzo by Bozza, followed by Ravel’s much loved Tombeau de Couperin. Joining forces with talented Scottish pianist Ailsa Aitkenhead, their performance of Poulenc’s Sextet won’t be one to miss.
