Description

'I felt this pressure to be sexy from the second I got tits. And then the f*ckers didn't even grow that much.' From the creators of the sell out show Skank (The Times' Critics choice for 2021 Edinburgh Fringe and Offies 2021 OffFest nominee) comes a one-woman spectacle featuring pole dancing and original music. A first love, second heartbreak, and third piece of cake in a row make a naughty teenager question if she can ever be a "good woman". And what the hell that even means. Ready for some clubland classics and moral philosophy?

I went to see this show last minute, and it was one of my favorite I saw at the Fringe. It was very moving but funny at the same time. These women are talented!

Went to see this on a spur of the moment decision and I'm so glad I did! A beautiful and powerful performance by Clementine, I was in tears by the end.

Wow, just wow. What a wonderful performance, I'm not really capable of putting it into words. Definitely more than the short description promised. A moving, sad, funny and relatable story about (overcoming?) self-deprecation, about love and dependency. And more. Sometimes shocking, sometimes awe-inspiring, always relatable. Theatre, loveable, artistic, insightful. The audience definitely love Clem now (and also Zoey).

We saw Please Love Me because we were meant to see another pole/stand-up show and it was cancelled. What luck this was because this was one of my favourite shows we saw. This was a one-and-a-half-woman play about Clementine's experience as a stripper, student of Arabic, woman and friend. It has some heavy themes but works them all together with original music, some laugh out loud moments, audience interaction and a few pole dancing sequences. It was raw and real. Clementine was super talented, definitely go and see it!

I adored this show! It was so different to anything I'd ever seen before, in the best way. The writing was so funny and relatable, whilst also bringing awareness to poignant issues within today's society, especially for women. Make sure to go and see it!!

This was one my favourite shows I saw at fringe! So incredibly performed with such variety and talent. 100% not one to miss.

There's a flippant saying "bad decisions make good stories", which could be used to describe much of the comedy available at the Fringe. This show does more, it explores what drives those decisions and their compounding impacts. Brutal honesty that will take you through the entirity of life's emotional spectrum; combined with a great lighting and prop set-up, sing-a-long worthy songs, and evocative physical comedy; for me a must see.

I can’t put into words how much I adore this show. I’ve had to go back twice and will probably go back again! So much authenticity and bravery from Clementine and beautiful and honest support from best friend Zoey. I adore and respect everyone behind this production. Made me cry so much, I couldn’t stop! But simultaneously made me laugh. I found it so relatable and grounded with elements of surrealist humour. Such a rare gem.
