Concertos for bassoon (Weber), trumpet (Goedicke) and xylophone (Mayuzumi); Holst's Mars from Planets; Kachaturian's Widow of Valencia. PYO's Edinburgh programme has been popular with audiences in the city for almost 40 years. 'Their achievement was astonishing – cutting edge – the real thing' (Michael Tumelty, Herald).
