Description

Waking in the bridal suite on his wedding day, Bill finds a strange girl in his bed. With a post stag-night hangover he has no idea who she is or how she got there. As he panics to get her dressed and out of the way, his bride arrives trapping the girl in the bathroom. In desperation, Bill persuades the best man to pretend she's his girlfriend but they can't afford the real girlfriend to find out. By the time the bride's parents and hotel staff get in on the act, the chaos reaches nuclear proportions! Hilarious.

I really loved this, what a tonic
Timing was perfect & I actually laughed throughout, which is hard for any cast to achieve
Lovely venue too
Pleased to see it so well-attended by an audience that clearly enjoyed it as much as I did

A good pace, good performances all round. For me, the two best roles were the groom and best man had some of the best dialogue and the actors did well with the chaos as it unfolded!

Also, it isn't as long as indicated (not 2.5 hours) - which was fine as I was not sure how they would keep a farce going for that long!

There was one interval between the two acts and it finished just before 9.30pm

All Edinburgh Theatre (5/5 stars) 90 days ago

Perfect Wedding, the Edinburgh Makars’ production at the Royal Scots, is an object lesson in how to put on a farce. Well acted, impeccably timed and with direction as sharp as a needle, it is a gloriously silly, relentlessly funny concoction. Bridegroom Bill wakes, hungover, on his wedding day to...
