Description

Mediocre everyman Samuel Green has one week to prove himself worthy of permanent residence in Heaven. After a sequence of run-ins with the bizarre denizens of God’s Kingdom (including his parents, his ex, several of history's most influential writers, a yo-yo addict of an artistic persuasion and an ex-teacher disillusioned with omniscience), as the day of his appeal draws inexorably closer, Sam begins to wonder if eternal bliss is really for him. Nominated for the Cambridge Footlights’ annual playwriting prize, 2019. ‘Imaginative and funny’ (Alex Horne). 'A zest of life' (Varsity).

This is a funny and inventive play packed with original ideas. I really enjoyed the man who finds himself in the afterlife after a school parents’ evening goes very bad, and Dante Alighieri interpreted as a sleazy tour guide. Well worth checking out.

This show is great fun - rides the line between light hearted and sharp very well. There were some entertaining ad libs from the cast at the performance I went to as well.

Funniest show I've seen at the Fringe! Fantastic concept and packed full of great characters and laughs. Would definitely recommend giving it a watch.

This was a last minute booking for us, we got pulled in with a promise of religious satire and half price tickets available. Well worth a late night to see. Really funny without risking being offensive. An exploration of the afterlife that had us creasing up. Totally whacky ideas about ‘eternal bliss’ from a very human perspective.
