Description

Where do you stand on the burning issues of today? Who do you trust? Is anything so important you'd stake your life on it? Passion Perspectives is a challenging piece of new writing which radically recasts the biblical passion narrative and finds surprising parallels between the historical events and the pressing political issues of our time. Using verbatim dialogue from recent events, an urgent and compelling story emerges – a story which will challenge our perception of who we are regardless of faith or belief.

Such a refreshing combo of contemporary politics and and philosophical/ethical tradition going back millenia. The show did an excellent job without being preachy or stale... The parallels drawn to Jerusalem and Jesus Christ were highly poignant. Not your typical perspective on the left right debate: the writing was original, concise, got to the heart of the matter. The author presents us with history repeating itself in action. Left moved and inspired. One of my favorites this year.

A thought provoking presentation which stays with you long after you leave. A refreshing change from the usual froth. Well done Harp Theatre.

Excellently performed and thought provoking production. Contemporary themes cleverly linked to the Passion. If you haven't seen don't miss the final performance

Thought provoking piece, well delivered by a talented amateur cast. Well worth seeing.

I was really looking forward to this piece but have to say was very disappointed. To try and relate the crucifixion to the brexit situation was at least misguided at worst offensive. I nearly laughed out loud to hear the vote to kill Jesus compared to the vote to leave Europe and how if only we had another vote! Are you serious!!
