Description

A presentation of visionary (ridiculous) ideas from an apocalyptic clown man. A comedic assault on "woke" ideology, with plenty of nonsense along the way. The show will look for truth in a post-truth world, for meaning in absurdity and for humour wherever she lies. Praise for previous work: 'I laughed so hard it hurt' (TheNewCurrent.co.uk), 'Ibrahim conveys a pathos worthy of the finest actors' (OneStopArts.com), 'A bright, nay, dazzling future in comedy' (Issuu.com/BunburyMagazine).

Nothing funny in the show. The guy awkwardly stares at audience members and drags it on for too long, second-hand embarrassment the entire time. Could have been an opportunity to satirise holier-than-thou left, wasn't. Clueless guy with nothing original to say.

The show was a refreshingly original and perfect satire of imperfect social justice culture. Its not easy to encourage a politically literate, middle class audience to actually laugh at topics that are usually taken so seriously. I've never had the opportunity to laugh at characterisations of my fellow righteous activist and non conformist types. Hilarious if you're "woke AF" , probably even more so if you're not.

Omar’s brilliance is in his technique and skill, yes, but also in his kindness. Though a needed, punchy highlighting of hypocrisy in our society, there is genuine gentleness and care behind his portrayal of loud and opinionated characters. You will learn what it is to be ‘woke’, if you don’t already know, and you’ll realise that you’re actually likely to already be more woke than the so called woke characters, so that makes you feel good! Best show I’ve seen, you’re a dangerous fool to miss it.

Nothing was funny. Why do this? Why make the investment?
No narrative, no jokes of substance. Just low bar punches that meant nothing in the end.
Why not make comedy about a more interesting topic? Every joke I’d heard before.

Fresh, quirky, original and above all FUNNY stand up fro a very clever comedian. Worth seeing.
