Olivia Xing, made in China and based in LA, spits facts about the censorship and dictatorship in China, and pokes fun at the political nonsense she's come across in the West. She delves into her experience as a Chinese woman during Covid, riffing on racism and sexism. This show will be cathartic for everyone who has been feeling politically depressed for the past few years because of viruses, wars and stupid politicians.

Unmissable show! It’s the best show I’ve ever had! So funny, amazing and touching! Olivia Xing deeply understands the western and Chinese society, and she is so insightful to point the problems in those two different societies! Excellent!

Olivia Xing boldly skewers Chinese and western politics with razor-sharp wit in her hilarious political comedy Party School. Her natural charisma and spontaneous energy kept the audience roaring with laughter from start to finish - we love her! This show perfectly punctuate the incisive cultural commentary. While some nuances may be lost on Westerners, her unique voice pensively reveals absurdities of authority. This young Chinese woman daringly speaks truth to power through humour; Xing is not to be underestimated.

Funny, poignant, insightful and thought provoking: a meditation on the encounter of China and the West, on what makes us human, sprinkled with sparkling wit and lots of laughter. Great show. I would love to hear more of Olivia at the festival and beyond - on Radio 4. She has real presence, fierce intelligence and she holds the audience in her hand. It's just a matter of time before she becomes a household name.

Very enjoyable stand-up comedy. She told a lot of black humor that Chinese people are familiar with. I'm pretty sure for others it would have been enjoyable for her to perform as well.

Wow! This was one of those shows I stumbled into after a long fringe day—and was glad I did. Ended with the best show of the day. Olivia gracefully mixes thoughtful political commentary with cheeky humor and charm. Really got the audience to laugh and think at the same time, without being heavy handed. Definitely a comedian to look out for!

Olivia is so talented and courageous! One of the best rising international comedian, and definitely a must-see in Edinburgh Fringe! Think the audience might fancy more jokes on their British-ness, but I LOVED every single references she makes on China and America.

I really enjoyed watching this show! Olivia is engaging and likeable on stage, and she has an interesting story to tell, with lots of sharp, funny jokes along the way.

Amazing performance, delivered with utter brilliance! Witty and sharp. The young lady has an edge and will go far. One of the best shows I have seen at this Fringe.

Olivia's show is full of whit and relatable humor. She guides us through Covid-19, navigating American culture, and staying connected to her Chinese roots without holding back. Her comedic timing while sharing her personal stories leaves the audience laughing and wanting more! This show is what fringe festival is all about, up and coming comedians with great shows getting their names out there. Olivia Xing is (in my opinion) the next big thing and a definite must see!

A brilliant balance of scathing satire through light-hearted and most of all, funny, narrative. Olivia herself is full of energy and is very engaging - it’s clear that the material has real meaning to her and is not just simply ‘content’. Think about it, are you passionate enough about something that you’d take it to the stage at the risk of never being able to return home again?!…

Exactly the kind of show that makes Edinburgh Fringe great - go see it!!
