Description
A writer urges a star to come down to earth and collaborate with him on a play. As they experiment with potential narrative, the writer scrambles to find meaning following the trauma of being raped by another man, while the star battles with the memory of her own incarnation as a human hundreds of years ago, when she was burned as a witch. What the writer could never have imagined, was how deeply his own story is connected with the star's. A moving, poignant exploration of the human condition, featuring song and physical theatre. Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. Sad, intense, but also beautiful show about the different ways we cope with trauma, victim-blaming (especially done by the victim themself), living with your grief and learning [it] wasn’t your fault. I loved how many layers and levels the story had, how Ocean used his writing to explore these things and how the Stars' former human life story was mostly told through beautiful songs, and the way it connected to each other…

I felt like every step in this thought-provoking play was totally unpredictable. The acting was intense and real, and I felt completely immersed the entire time. The story is engaging, philosophical, funny (in parts) and poignant, and made us think for a long time after seeing it. If you get a chance to see this show wherever it is playing again, do it. We were lucky to catch it the second-to-last night and we were so happy we decided to go. Thank you both!

Best show I've seen at the fringe! Really talented actors and a very well written play. Definitely a must see.
