Description
Scottish Voices and friends perform settings of poetry in Gaelic and English by contemporary Scottish composers and poets. The program celebrates Scottish culture today, with a focus on how synthesis and experimentation are essential to the vitality of every culture, and includes the first performance of a new work by poet Aonghas MacNeacail and composer Margaret McAllister (MargaretMcAllister.org). Scottish Voices (ScottishVoices.org) has dazzled audiences around the world with their gleaming singing and impeccable musicianship. 'An explosion of sound and exuberance... the performance is simply stunning, and Hair’s imagination seems to know no bounds' (Fanfare). Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted.
