Description
Split bill featuring two up-and-coming, Bristol-based acts, featuring dry, deadpan, and joke-heavy routines hitting introspective themes and outsiders topics. A contrast to the upbeat, high-energy acts often seen. Brendan Common – 'The genuine antidote to mainstream comedy' (Ignacio Lopez). Shortlisted for BBC New Act. Finalist for The Welsh Unsigned Stand-up Award. Semi-finalist for So You Think You're Funny. Phil Wathern – 'A very skilled writer... his material was strong throughout' (NottsComedyReview.wordpress.com). Two very funny, resilient comics with unique styles that gave me an insight into what alternative stand up can be. Definitely recommend if you are into edgy humour and goths.
