I saw this at the beginning of the run and thought it was great. The negative reviews are not fair -if it isn’t someone’s bag then fair enough but at least show some respect for the performers. I was genuinely embarrassed to read a couple of the reviews posted.

This is a joyous, fun hour filled with 13 catchy tunes and imaginative props & dance routines, all providing a unique & silly tribute to B horror movies that anyone with a sense of fun should enjoy, regardless of age. If you're expecting stand up or traditional musical comedy you've read the wrong description. If you like catchy songs and seeing five performers sing their hearts out and be silly to lift your spirits, you should enjoy this on your first, second and third viewing.

Whether its because I'm in my mid 20s and perhaps too young for this or I'm not the generation to appreciate B-movie horror, but I thought this show was pretty awful. If I were sitting on an aisle seat I would have left early. The songs are very repetitive and not like musical 'comedy' I've seen before. The costumes and choreo are outdated and falling apart and there was a problem with the microphones which made it even more painful to listen to.
Having said this, the opening number is fun with all of the props being thrown into the audience, and the 40-something ladies sitting behind us were howling with laughter throughout so it obviously appeals to some people...

If you love B Movie Horror this show is for you! Yes it is a musical but it is a love letter anthology to all of those horror movies you find yourself drawn to when you are sick of all the jump scare CGI s**t you see nowadays. The songs and poems are catchy as hell and definitely need to be released as an album. Do strap on in for all the ham acting you want, the cliche horror themes you need and dammit stay for the choreography and special effects for sure! I loved the show and bravo to Mr Helm for creating something unique for the Fringe. It wasn’t appreciated 11 years ago when he first performed it but I think it’s found an audience now! GO SEE IT!!!!!

This is a MUSICAL, not stand up. If you like musicals, crack on, if you don’t, avoid and spend your money elsewhere.
Nick Helm is brilliant and a great alternative stand up, and musician, but this is cringe inducingly bad.
The final song Boyfriend from Hell is painful beyond belief.
Stay up an extra hour and go to see Gein’s Family Giftshop TAROT at Pleasance instead for dark comedy horror done well.

I have seen quite a lot of festival shows and tonights performance was fantastic, brilliant teamwork and individual performances from all the cast. The finest and most memorable show in years, if you miss you’ll miss out

I Think You Stink takes the silliness of B-movie horror and turns it into a thrilling and thoroughly hilarious experience.
