Description

Bogha-frois: Queer Voices in Folk (Scottish Gaelic for Rainbow) is a community of queer folk musicians based in Scotland and beyond. The community provides a platform for LGBTQIA+ musicians in the trad and folk arts to create performances and collaboration which reflect the queer experience. Showcased to rave reviews at Celtic Connections 2019 and 2020, the project featured on BBC Radio 6 Music as part of their Loud and Proud season. Performers include Man of the Minch, Radio Scotland Songwriter Award winner Mike McKenzie, composer and piper Malin Lewis, Marit Falt, and more.
