Description

Myq's been a comedian for 20 years, a human for 44, and a philosophy guy for... what even is time?! In ImPerfect, Kaplan offers advice to his past self on subjects ranging from traditional marriage to polyamory, quantum mechanics to psychedelics, Moby Dick to Nintendo, reflecting on potential improvements as a man, a partner, and matter/energy comprising an infinitesimal portion of the universe. Infinitesimal, but acclaimed: in their review of his 2018 Edinburgh debut, Chortle said Kaplan '...should be making any comedy connoisseur's 'to see' list.' And that's the past! See how much more perfect ImPerfect is!

Brilliant. 5 Stars. Myq Kaplan is that rare breed of extremely clever comedians who isn't stereotyping himself as a nerd. What I like about him most is his speed. The punches just keep coming, and I keep laughing. Wonderful.

Myq Kaplan's comedy hour titled "ImPerfect" is an engaging hour of comedy. Myq is funny and honest, and keeps your attention as he pokes fun at himself and his world and the lessons he has learned about love. You will envy his girlfriend for how much he loves her, and you will be jealous of his command of the English language. Every utterance in this hour of comedy is precise, every word is perfect, and the narrative builds to a crescendo that felt like the final number of broadway musical. And if you don't like musicals, then it felt like last scene of an action film that ties the whole story together making you happy that you made the time to see this show.

Thoroughly recommend. Funny, witty and insightful. Good play on words and reflection on life.
