Bertie the Moon Dragon is having a terrible day! Nothing is as it should be. However, all is not yet lost, as with the help of the audience and some wonderful characters along the way to help him, Bertie can ensure that the night will be saved, and all can return just as it should be. This original preschool production aimed at under 5s is a must for families this Fringe. The audience interacts throughout the show with lights, dressing up and lots of percussion to add to the magic of the story.

The show is 45 minutes long which will be long enough for concentration levels. Each audience member will be given a props bag which will be full of percussion instruments, sensory lights, scarves and the audience will be asked to participate in using these throughout the show. Carers will be encouraged to work with the audience to help with music, holding and looking at sensory props. There won’t be flashing lights or load bangs as all the percussion instruments are either bells or maracas sounds. We took our 2.5 year old to see Moon Dragon today and it was fab! We visited the courtyard a couple of days previously and spoke to the performers about the show as our son has additional needs. The show was fully explained and we felt this really helped our decision to try a show, as the staff were so welcoming and accomodating.
The performers were so good with the children and the show had a great pace which meant they didn't have a chance to disengage. Songs, props and singing was amazing. The performers were great with our son when he touched things he shouldn't or shouted out. This made our first Fringe show really special and relaxed. I would highly recommend this show to anyone thinking of attending! A lovely morning out at The Fringe!

Took my 2.5 year old to see this show and it really is a must see for anyone looking for kids related shows. A really fun and interactive performance that sees children issued with prop bags on arrival to allow them to engage with the show, which also has a great story and fantastic performers. My daughter loved it and hasn't stopped talking about it since!

★★★★★ fantastic show for kids!

This highly interactive show is run by the same team as behind the popular Edinburgh music classes Monkey Music. Like the classes, the show is theatrical, full of song, interactive music opportunities and fun props for the children to play and engage with throughout.
