Description

With sex, Siri, and the familiar mundane at the top of the mind, operatic bass-baritone and comedienne Monét X Change shares her anecdotal, intrusive thoughts and opinions on life and how it continues to perplex her at every turn in her debut Fringe hour. Monét is an entertainment spitfire and the first double-crown winner in RuPaul's Drag Race herstory. Known for delivering energetic and show-stopping performances, Monét's showwomanship is a reflection of a tireless work ethic to cultivate and perfect her immaculate lip-syncing skills, comedic chops and (mostly) pitch-perfect live singing.

Absolutely loved it, was not expecting her to be so vulnerable. It all led up to an absolutely amazing finale.

I was already a fan of Monet from Ru Paul"s Drag Race, but she surpassed my expectations.
Hilarious and an excellent finale, highly recommended.

An amusing, sometimes emotional evening of stories by Monet, and her partners throughout her history, from teenager to All Stars. The ending medley was a scream!

I had now idea who she was, when I booked the show. I found, that she is a great entertainer and gifted singer.

As a big fan of Monet from RPDR I had high hopes for this show and, although it wasn't exactly what I had expected, I wasn't disappointed. I felt that the false starts were effective in building up the anticipation to finally hear Monet sing, and although I didn't find them annoying, I think the same effect would have been achieved without quite so many. The wait was well worth it and I left wanting to hear much more of that incredible voice.

While a fan of Monet on RPDR, this wasn't to my taste. A number of 'false starts' were used as a framing device for the show - while I believe this wouldn't bother everyone, I personally found it kind of annoying and frustrating and would have preferred a more straightforward story telling style.

Monet X Change is such a fabulous performer and this show is her best work yet. I was drawn in by the comedy, the drama, the commentary and of course, her unique voice. Definite recommend.

A clever act in combining Monét's key skills – drag, comedy and song – to share her story with us in a heartfelt way.

Life be Lifein’ is a show not to be missed, not because Monet was on drag race, but because she is just that hilarious.
