Description

Following her sell-out success of 5 Soldiers – The Body is the Frontline, choreographer Rosie Kay curates a series of live and hybrid panel discussions around freedom, security and warfare, examining if the new frontline is now being fought in our minds. With the military expanding into cyber and space, and everyday technologies monitoring our every move, what place do artists have for voicing freedoms and resistance? Expect provocations, new perspectives and interesting debate. Check the website for more information on each evening's show www.armyatthefringe.org.

General venue access

  • Accessible entry: Audiences will be checked in at street level before making their way down a flight of stairs to our courtyard waiting area. From here, there is level access to the Drill Hall space. Exit is via another flight of stairs leading from the building to the pavement. Regrettably our stairlift has broken at the last minute and will not be fixed in August. Access to our Drill Hall is via a flight of stairs down to our courtyard and exit is via a further flight of stairs back up to pavement level. For customers with access requirements, the only access to the Drill Hall in 2021 will be via an assisted mobility chair. This will involve a team of soldiers assisting customers down to the basement level of our venue. For wheelchair users, this will require moving or being assisted from a wheelchair to the mobility chair in order to reach the basement level. Use of the mobility chair will involve some close contact with our front of house team, who will be masked at all times. We apologise for any inconvenience cause and are happy to discuss requirements via [email protected]
