Description

A pianist with superhuman coordination, Los Angeles-based Milen Kirov is an award-winning Bulgarian-American pianist and composer with an inimitable artistic voice and celebrated creative output. Combining his Bulgarian music heritage and concert pianist background with American jazz and blues, Milen's music establishes a deep connection between these music traditions. Bulgarian modes and odd meters bump flirtatiously into blues licks and jazz harmonies, creating a union of cultures that is deeply personal and wholly distinct. In this concert Kirov will present his latest solo album, Spatium.
