Description

'Broadway's greatest comic storyteller' (Deadline.com). Mike Birbiglia plays at the Edinburgh Fringe. Chronicling his coming-of-middle-age story Mike asks the big questions: Why are we here? What's next? What happens when the items at the doctor's office that you thought were decorative become functional? This tale of life, death and a highly chlorinated YMCA pool resonates with audiences aged 12 to 112, and won rave reviews whilst playing to sold-out houses in the US. Now 'the best comedy of the year' (New York Times) promises to charm audiences across Edinburgh.

A wonderfully entertaining show, full of energy and fun. I’ve watched his specials and so excited to see him in person. Amazing!

Best show i've seen so far. Mike Birimbiglia's delightfully dry, self-deprecating observational humour centres around his failing health, fears of death and the challenges he faces in becoming healthier. Ruminating hilariously over crucial conversations with his cardiologist and family members, shedding light on life's darker crevices, it's inspiring to see a comic with no star ratings to boast ascend to the great McEwan Hall motivated by a keen awareness that death can come at any time
