Description

Everyday sexism causes insecurities in women. The best conditions offer a sunflower the chance to bloom. But without the sun, they face one other, searching for energy. Without it, they simply die. Like sunflowers, women support each other. This is a monologue that talks about women’s vital transitions in life. Women all grow up to take their role in society without even noticing its constraints. Miedos encourages conversation about situations that are an unfortunate part of daily life but which society accepts as normal, and explores how rules can be broken to live the life we truly desire.

General venue access

  • Accessible entry: Access to box office, bar, and performance space up one flight of stairs to first floor (no lift). For this performance space: Space is up full flight of stairs and one quarter-flight of stairs up from courtyard, 25 steps in total, the main full flight approx 1m wide, and the final quarter flight approx 0.8m wide.

    • Wheelchair access type: Not fully wheelchair accessible

  • Stairs: 20+
    Number of stairs is provided as guidance and is not in addition to any wheelchair access type (lift/ramp etc) stated above.

How and when to make an access booking

Our access tickets service is available to anyone who:

  • Would like to book specific accessibility services, e.g. a hearing loop, audio description headsets, captioning units, seating in relation to the location of the BSL interpreter
  • Requires extra assistance when at a venue
  • Has specific seating requirements
  • Is a wheelchair user
  • Requires a complimentary personal assistant ticket to attend a performance
