'Joyous' **** (Independent). 'Phenomenal' ***** (Mirror). 'First-rate' **** (Scotsman). 'The real deal' **** (Guardian). 'Essential' **** (Telegraph).

This is a very slick show that uses projections, photographs, snippets of video and music to excellent effect. The premise is a tale of how the two boys came to know each other, and the arranging of a stag (bachelor) party for Ivan - but it's delivered so well, with touches of silliness, nostalgia, and a few surprises, that it transcends its simple subject matter. Heartwarming, genuine, and funny.

Haven't seen these boys in a few years and went in expecting a long form sketch comedy with a load of silly characters. I didn't get that but was not disappointed. This was a lovely autobiographical piece that proved to be a genuinely funny and touching story. Really strongly recommended! Make sure you get a good view of the screen though!

Another fantastic show from the boys. Honesty, hilarity, great reminiscences. We’ve seen the guys a few times and lovely to get an insight into their lives. Very clever, well thought out and delivered.

Another smashing show from Max & Ivan, this time focusing on their friendship. They manage to be silly and funny but also heartfelt. I left feeling uplifted! I can't wait to see what they do next.

A funny trip through their close relationships and how to throw a party.

Excellent show. Really polished, witty and well crafted by a sharp comedy duo. Very professional and slick, fast paced and very funny. I liked the addition of a video back screen which was used effectively to add to the story. Ivan can really sing!!! Missed your vocation there Ivan!! Highly recommend that you catch this show.

Loved the story % will bring a smile for years to come! Rhyming slang had an extra dimension for sure. So many highs. Well done indeed.

Joyous! A great hour of storytelling and silly jokes that only Max and Ivan can deliver. They are masters of their craft.

‘I don’t do things by half,” says Max Olesker. Anyone who’s seen Max and Ivan’s legendary sports/comedy spectacular, The Wrestling, can confirm this. But the duo’s new show recounts Olesker’s biggest challenge yet in events organising: his sidekick’s stag do. Ivan Gonzalez got married this year, and best man Olesker...

Max & Ivan: Commitment commands the stage with a fresh, hysterical perspective on growing up, looking back, and moving on. They bicker, they play, they’re childish and heartwarming. Technically, Max and Ivan truly understand their modern audience and know how to work a crowd with their superb comedic timing. The show undoubtedly deserves a capital five out of five.

In Commitment, sketch comedy Fringe favourites Max Olesker and Ivan Gonzalez breathlessly pack well over an hour of sketches, set pieces and gags into an hour of hilarious buffoonery. The narrative is more autobiographical in nature than their previous work and is based around Max’s appointment as best man at...

With Max & Ivan's camraderie you hope that when they clock off and go home they spend the evening still together, chatting like Morecombe and Wise in their pyjamas or going through separate front doors into the same house, as The Beatles do in Help!. There's a traditional double act feel to...
