Description

Marrano, a Tale From the Inquisition is a tragedy based on two historical events: the expulsion of the Sephardic Jews at the end of the 15th century and, consequentially, the murder of the High Inquisitor of the Crown of Aragon, Pedro de Arbu├ęs. Marrano tells the story of Uriel, a Jew born in 15th century Seville, whose life turns upside down when the Inquisition arrives in the city. A creation where gestural work, live music and words become the protagonists. A physical and avant-garde language that approaches our history from an innovative theatrical perspective.
