Markus Birdman: Platinum – Free

Comedy (stand-up, storytelling)

Description

June 2021, I had a stroke. I ended up with a platinum heart. I’d like to tell you about it. Not to create feelings of pity, more a sense of fawning admiration. I’ve made this in the most heartfelt and funny way I can. I really want you to come. I’ve never believed in anything more. **** (Kate Copstick, Scotsman). ****½ (Steve Bennett, Chortle.co.uk). 'Jovially sour tales of his two strokes rides high on his own excellence' (Dominic Maxwell, Times). Jason Manford tour support, 2022. Britain's Got Talent semi-finalist, 2023. Chortle Best Comic Nominee, 2023.

Markus had a very relaxed and laid back style, while he shared with us the story of his life with the challenges and he reflected with compassion and humility with plenty of comedy moments and laughter. Would recommend

Nowadays it is so often comedians rely off frivolous anecdotes but Markus had a unique approach he spoke as if you were one on one with him and kept you laughing and thinking all at once. This show was a breath of fresh air and I would highly recommend!

Effortlessy fluctuates between classic pull back and reveal style gags to genuine human interest storytelling and back again. A great way to spend an hour and very much worth your time and money.

Indeed Markus exemplifies what every fresh-faced stand-up would like to become – erudite, witty, charismatic and delightfully enjoyable.
