Description

Mark Watson's 12-year-old son just got a phone. His 70-year-old dad has been through the most frightening experience of his life. Both a dad and a kid himself, around the midpoint of his life, the Taskmaster star, multiple award-winner and Fringe legend returns to consider the search for meaning that we're all on, with or without Google. There will be a lot of jokes. 'A genius-level comic doing what he does best... magical to watch and just so funny' ***** (Time Out). 'Witty, warm, perfectly judged' ***** (Telegraph). 'Uplifting, time excellently spent' ****½ (Chortle).

Broadway Baby (4/5 stars) 50 days ago

This is an incredibly reflectve show, and so the overall energy and pace ebbs and flows, but at no point does this change in the atmosphere detract from the overall humour in the anecdotes or bouts of dark comedy that Watson expresses.

Daily Business Magazine (4/5 stars) 50 days ago

A Fringe veteran who has been coming to Edinburgh for more than 20 years, he is like an old friend returning to catch up with people he grew up with and hasn’t seen in a while. Everyone is glad to have him back.

Mark is still very much a big kid himself and on the night I saw him with his black & red t-shirt on, he reminded me of 40 year old Dennis the Menace. Go and see this show, you won’t be disappointed.
