Description

Hi-de-hi darlings – welcome back. Expect creative fun from one of our oldest surviving alternative comics. Taking down politicians. Mucking about. New ideas and finding hope. This award-winning comedian (is there any other type?) asks how did we get here? What are we going to do about it? Who’s up for a sing-song? After lockdowns and isolation this show is about the simple act of being in a room together and toppling international capitalism. 'You’ll leave recommitted to the fight against this appalling authoritarian government, to keep that tradition alive' (Guardian, 2021).

This man is a professional - hardworking and hilarious and continues to entertain us after seeing him in several different shows over far more years than we care to remember

Mark Thomas has been entertaining, informing and inspiring me since the 90's and on seeing his stand-up show today, well, he's never been better... Raw comedy with a truly delightful bit of audience participation in the middle.
Go see...

12th August.

I may be biased, Mark Thomas has been my favourite comedian for a number of years.

This show pulls no punches it is a rapid fire, and for today hot and sweaty, assassination of our corrupt and useless political elite. Mark's passion passion for justice and equality provides a beacon for the rest of us to follow.

Not one to attend if you are a Tory. I loved every second of it.

What sets this apart from nearly all other stand up acts is the sheer passion and laser targeted anger with which Mark Thomas delivers this tight, almost evangelical set. As always, he weaves comedy, satire, warmth and honesty into 60 minutes of comedic mastery. For sheer sweat alone, he is unrivalled in Edinburgh and I urge others to beg, steal or forge a ticket. Not for the Tory-hearted!

In amongst Mark ranting he tells great stories and very clever jokes. People with Type 2 diabetes especially welcome.

Clever, funny, surprising, challenging and spot on in every way. My wife’s throat hurt from laughing so much - but there is real depth to every line - came away reflecting on many aspects of the world we are living in and determined to be more active in challenging what is wrong. Highly recommended.

…experience probably the best 60 minutes of politically-charged humour on this year’s Fringe!
