Mark is the host of The Stand Saturday Night comedy live streaming during the first lockdown, which started in March 2020. No football, no concerts, and no eating & drinking out with friends, I was always waiting for it every Saturday in front of my laptop. It helped us get through the difficult time.

So, Fringe is back and he’s also doing shows, is there any reason to miss it?

The hour of comedy was full of nonstop laughter and tears didn’t stop. I wanted to go every night but my stay in Edinburgh this summer was short, so will wait for another chance, hopefully soon.

He’s a must-see comedian in this Fringe!

A very funny man . Mark is sharp and honest with a delivery that makes you wish you had thought of that . A brilliant hour of comedy .

Mark was a new name to me but had seen some good reviews and went along to his show last night. I've been to 8 or 9 shows at the festival this year and this is probably the best I've seen so far. Looking forward to seeing Mark performing somewhere in Fife in the next few months.

Going to see Mark was a bit of a pilgrimage as the online stand-up shows he compered during the first lockdown helped keep us laughing through those dark times. This show didn't disappoint. The hour flew by with sharp observations and lots of laughs. One not to miss!

Saw Mark following a recommendation on Friday 19th. Please, if you only see one show at the Fringe, let it be this one, seriously funny! We plan to see him next time he tours!

Saw Mark Sat 20th, absolutely brilliant.
Clever, well structured and, above all, funny as hell.
Mark strikes me as a comedian who is dedicated to the craft and wants to put out the best possible hour he can - mission accomplished

Mark Nelson is a must-see at the Fringe. A brilliant Scottish comedian- he’ll have you laughing your head off whilst you’re wincing at what he’s saying. His observations are brilliant. At the heart of his show he shows he’s just a lovely, hilariously funny, bloke trying to make sense of this crazy world. Human, wicked, wonderful. Please go see this brilliant comic - he is superb.

Saw Mark's show on Tuesday night - we laughed from start to finish and are still laughing when we think about some of the jokes! Go and see him, he deserves all the fantastic reviews.

I saw this show a couple of days ago and Mark absolutely smashed it. He tackles the issues of the day and takes down power with style, but manages to avoid the clichéd punchlines you'll probably hear elsewhere this month. A man at the top of his game. Don't miss it.

Best comedian on the fringe. Go and see

Mark was a star of the lockdown, with his weekly shows from the Stand Comedy Club. As a result we had really wanted to see him live when things started to open up, and finally got our chance at this year's Fringe. We weren't disappointed, he was every bit as good in person as he was on the remote shows. One particular joke in this show (about the Tory leadership contest) made me laugh more than anything else we heard the whole time we were up there... I'm not going to spoil it for you, if you want to hear it then you need to get a ticket.

Mark Nelson is most definitely one of Scotlands best comics and this show is exceptional. Perfectly incorporating crowd work, hilarious anecdotes and thought provoking issues. Loved this show, one of the highlights of my trip to the fringe. 5 stars!

Have been to see Mark Nelson at Fringe Festival for his last 3 shows and none of them have disappointed. He’s the first ticket I make sure to book when the sites open (and not for the 2for1, he’s one of the few I don’t mind paying the full price for). Would recommend to everyone. He always makes you feel like you would love to have a drink in the pub with him after just hear more!

Mark has been a champion of topical, political and observational comedy for years, and this year it is such a treat to see such a well crafted show. From the troubles of having a young family to outrage at the current crisis in the UK, Mark rips through an unforgettable hour of pure stand-up.

Not to be missed. *****

"Comedian" is an extremely sharp hour of observational comedy. Political at times, Nelson isn't one to hold back which results in brilliantly witty gags that prompt proper belly laughs from the audience.
