What an amazing woman, what a great show. Funny and informative. Probably my favourite show at this year's fringe.

One of the shows I was most looking forward to, and Marjolein didn't disappoint one bit! Hilarious, silly, honest, absurd, warm... this was all of those things and more. Truly a special show that had me belly laughing from start to finish.

Fantastic stand-up, woven together expertly and just so funny, with rare authenticity. Only a few days left, do yourself a favour and go see Marjolein, you’ll leave with a smile and most likely learn something new about Shetland!

Marjolein Robertson was absolutely spot-on, drawing out the humour hidden in the craziness of an adhd world. Loved it!

I’ve seen Marjolein perform at the Fringe since 2016, and can honestly say that she is just as charming a stage personality as ever, but this year she also has some truly brilliant writing, some of her very best. This shapes this show up into being a must see for 2022.

This was a brilliant show from Marjolein, she just surely now be on the cusp of breaking out and enjoying national success. See her now in an intimate Fringe room while you can. It's a brilliantly crafted show, you won't regret it.

We went to see Marjolein as a wildcard pick for our last day and she ended up being one of our favourites! Her comedy was uplifting, funny. You’ll leave with sore sides from laughing, and wanting Marjolein to be your new best friend. The best. 5 stars!

MARJOLEIN ROBERTSON delivers an armless-fish-in-a-barrel's worth of daft jokes and just a joyous comedy show that's fun for all the family*!

(*but only if your family is from Shetland. All other families beware!)

I loved this show it’s clever, funny and insightful. With all the various buzz words I can come up with the best review I have for this is we saw 11 brilliant 1 hour stand up sets whilst we were at the fringe this year and this was my absolute favourite! Go see this show!

Really good fun, witty and educational show. If Marjolein had been my teacher I might have had a chance of succeeding at school albeit. A great way to spend an hour at the fringe!

I'm always pleased when I see Marjolein is listed as a contestant on Breaking the News. She didn't disappoint live. She's on top form here. Highly recommend

I've seen Marjolein at the fringe in previous years and this is the best I've seen her. The show is funny and well paced and her humour is sharp throughout. She was really engaging for me as an audience member and is definitely on top form, highly recommend getting along to this show!

One 4 Review (4/5 stars) 37 days ago

She is much in demand in Scottish media, and it is easy to understand why yet there is no doubt that she has the ability as a live stand-up as well. Her crowd work, demonstrated often during the hour is excellent, inclusive and non-threatening and she is certainly one to watch.

The List (4/5 stars) 37 days ago

With a childlike quality and vulnerability to her humour, she never alienates her audience, instead bringing them into her playful, self-deprecating brand.

If you aren't neurodivergent, you'll love her. If you are neurodivergent, you'll love her even more.

Comedian Marjolein Robertson is from Shetland (not the TV show, the islands located 106 miles north of Scotland). I admit that I knew nothing of the place before this entertaining, illuminating and very funny hour. I now know much more than I imagine is offered by the Shetland Tourist Board.
