Description

Shetland comedian Marjolein, as seen on BBC, wants to transport you to her home with tales and truths of what life is really like 60° north. Stories about growing up on a croft, the wonder of setting foot on southern lands (Aberdeen) and Shetland’s one condiment: salt. A spree (party) of jokes, both surreal and observational, from a whole other perspective. 'Marjolein Robertson is a highly promising and delightfully original act' (Jay Richardson, Scotsman). 'Robertson’s honest, raw and hilarious stand-up' (Peter Tomlinson, Shetland Times). 'Charming, intelligent, and self-deprecating in the best way' (Catherine Hart, ArtMurmurs.nz)

A really enjoyable show, and would recommend it to anyone looking to see a really good up and coming comedian. Very relatable material and Majorlein has a great presence on stage and connection with the audience.

Fest (3/5 stars) 103 days ago

Marjolein Robertson is from Shetland, a place which many comedy punters visiting Scotland from elsewhere might know little about. But no fear, this comic is here to teach us about her home. She is a likeable and endearing performer with a great energy about her, covering a lot of ground, sharing...
