Description
Very much like objects, as humans we create, hold and emit energy that attracts us to our partners, friends and the better parts of ourselves. However, it is also a strong force that can attract people and behaviours that are toxic, and can even cause us to repel parts of ourselves. Join us in the experience of learning how to find ourselves again and how to navigate the relationships with people we have surrounded ourselves with. Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. Magnetoreception was nothing short of mesmerizing. The choreography seamlessly merged raw emotion with refined technique, creating an atmosphere that held the audience captive from start to finish. It’s a must-see performance where every movement showcases a powerful and evocative approach to storytelling through dance. Kudos to Sarah and Philip from Odyl Creations for bringing such a stunning piece to the stage!

Wow! This show is electrifying and original. The whole piece is spell binding and I was riveted for the full forty minutes. The performers conveyed their message so well. The original music, costumes and lights all add to the intensity of the piece. Not to be missed and only one more show to go. ❤️

Had the pleasure of chatting to these lovely individuals in the performers hub and so decided to watch their show. It was brilliant, thought provoking and engaging throughout. Great technical skill and pair work beautifully executed, and was enjoyable to hear more about the piece and it's development after the standing ovation had occurred. Colin

This show is the best thing I have seen at the Fringe so far. Performed with visceral tactility and connection Magnetoreception is a stunning piece of theatre by two incredibly talented dancers who's technicality and skill is showcased in fluid and exciting choreography. The sound, lighting, costume and production design is an added bonus, intrinsically linking with the movement, allowing for a true theatrical experience. An absolute must-see.

Magnetoreception is a superb display of physical theatre and movement, two of the best performers of this theatre style. The sensitively strobed movement section was electrifying, raising hairs on my arm. I talked to several audience members, and the show means something different to everyone; for me, it was an emotional rollercoaster about our baggage that makes relationships filled with contradictory feelings that attract and repel others like magnets—the must-see physical theatre production of Fringe 2023.

Just saw this show with a youth theatre company I am apart of and we all absolutely loved it! The concept behind it is beautiful and very romantic. The rehearsal process sounded tough but creative and their memory must be amazing to remember all that dancing. The overall performance was absolutely mesmerising and modern. Thank you for an amazing show!

This show is stunningly well choreographed and put together with a professionally put together show that takes Dance to another level as it's done with thought and feeling and the way both dancers embody the power of their routines together is truly jaw dropping but also inspiring as this is a work of art from beginning to end and they are here until 19th so do not miss out on this its a must see for dance and theatre lovers as well as Fringe goers everywhere
