Description

Arrested and kicked out of France, this is a show about the misadventures of a comedian in the Calais Jungle. It's about how friendships can change you forever. It's about humanity and where to find it, who controls the narrative and how to fight the power with a hangover. Told through gonzo stand-up and cabaret, join Lydia for a late-night hour unlike any others and prepare yourself for a mind-bending bender. Like Orwell with jokes, techno and vodka. 'One to watch' (Chortle.co.uk).

This show is fantastic. It begins with laugh-out-loud stuff about family life and jokes to which I can imagine many people at the fringe relating - but then we are taken on a surprising, shocking, heartfelt, human, really really funny journey into the last place you'd expect to find humour. Lydia is an expert at her craft, and to create something so accessible and thought-provoking that works so perfectly at this time of evening is a great achievement. Superb
