Description

Edinburgh-born pianist and composer Ben Shankland is, despite his young age, already gaining recognition on the UK jazz scene. While he is a comfortable performer in a variety of situations, there is no setting more intimate than his solo piano recitals. Playing at St Vincent’s he will explore classic songs and original compositions, delving into each tune with the freedom of being unaccompanied at the piano. His ability to engage and entertain is sure to result in an afternoon of music that cannot be missed.
