Description

Who says poetry is box office poison? Fresh from wowing crowds opening for The Libertines and John Cooper Clarke, Luke Wright serves up banger after banger at the hottest late night show in town. This is rock'n'roll poetry at its visceral, inventive best. You'll laugh. You'll cry. You might even pull. 'His performances rumble with rage, passion and humour' (Guardian). 'He must be on some kind of dope' (John Cooper Clarke). 'Cool Poems' (Patti Smith). ***** (Scotsman, Stage, List, Skinny, ExeuntMagazine.com). **** (Guardian, Telegraph, Mirror).

It's poetry Jim but not as we know it! This is a chance to grab a drink and kick back with one of the cleverest wordsmiths around - quick witted, hilariously funny and extremely engaging to watch. Brilliant way to end your day or start your late night reveries! His other show "The Remains of Logan Dankworth is also a must see! Tip - Demand "The Essex Lion" (Directors Cut!)

This is a highly enjoyable show full of pithy and hilarious wordscapes deftly crafted and expertly delivered by a master of the craft. Frankly, a perfect 11pm treat with plenty of laughs - unmissable if you like poetry, necessary education if you think you don't.

Utterly filthy, and yet utterly priceless (which pretty much goes for the show overall).
