Description
It's 1940. Hugo is in no man's land. Having been born and raised in Scotland, he's miles away from his family's Italian roots, yet, at the same time, the UK, his home, has become a hostile place as the Italian community is marginalised and demonised for Mussolini's support of Nazi Germany. How far will Hugo go to belong again? Loving the Enemy is based on the life of George De Felice, a Glasgow-born Italian who served in the British Army during World War Two. The story was originally written as a film script by George's daughter, Hilda. Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted.
